Learn2Work is the result of thoughtful problem-solving, purposeful collaboration and relentless commitment to create unique and effective pathway for youth facing multiple barriers to obtain gainful and meaningful employment opportunities.


Learn2Work is a unique classroom to careers initiative that supports youth access educational enrichment and essential skills training to help improve their access to labour market opportunities.

Through Learn2Work participants will can access GED preparation, professional skills development and a paid job placement in an exciting career of their choosing. 

Learn2Work is a six (6) month program, in partnership with YMCA and Frontier College, which is structured into two (2) modules :

1.    Learn Module

2.    Work Module

Learn Module provides participants with individually designed learning plans and course instruction in preparation to obtain their GED.

Additionallyparticipants receive comprehensive professional and personal skill development that includes employer recognized soft-skills, job-readiness training and access to relevant social services. 

Work Module connects participants with a paid job placement in a career path of the participants choosing. During the Work Module, participants receive personalized case management, job coaching and further professional development supports.

Learn2Work is designed for youth who are:

  • Are you between 18-29 years old?
  • Are you receiving Ontario Works?
  • Are you out of school and not working?
  • Do you still need to get your high school diploma
